Jean-Luc Sainlo is a chef of over 25 years experience he has always been passionate about food, deciding at age eleven that a career in the kitchen was for him.
At age 16 Jean-Luc left his home in Guadaloupe, for France where he took the opportunity to further his passion for food, and refine his raw talent, in the gastronomic capital of Lyon. Once there, he took an apprenticeship with Michelin starred, Phillipe Chavent and completed his training before heading to the UK.
During his 20+ years in the UK He has worked for both Gordon Ramsay and Jean-Christophe Novelli as well as heading up his own brigades at various hotels and private members’ clubs around the capital, including the exclusive Arts Club, in Dover Street, and at events for The Digital Podge.
Sainlo Events was founded in 2011 but the seed was sown many years before. Growing up
around a culture of food and social eating in the Caribbean, with parents who cooked real
meals from scratch, gave him a taste for great cuisine. He quickly picked up an excellent sense of flavour and seasoning that runs through all of his dishes today.
Now all of this experience pours into his classic cuisine, created for clients in and around London. From dinner parties and larger family occasions to corporate catering and networking events. He has a personal input into every menu, working with each client to
ensure they receive the perfect meal to complement their event.
